Green Oaks Trailer Park

Demolished House in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

Recent status Demolished
Location # 5021

UPDATE & WARNING: There was an arson fire at this site on September 8 or 9, 2012 (see top link below) and Marineland has been ordered to secure the site. With an on-going investigation, there should probably be no exploration of this site.

This trailer park was the site of a huge Niagara Falls eviction controversy in 2009-2011, culminating with the suicide of the last remaining resident.

33 houses sit here in various states of accessibility. Although called a "trailer park", most of the units are 40-years old and have been added onto by the owners to the point where they now resemble small houses with rather lavish interiors.

I'm thinking that the land on which those homes were was rented... Like most of the "trailer" park homes in Ontario. Although there was no mention of that in the Niagara falls review article I read regarding the subject in 2009

The land still sits completely vacant and overgrown as of January of 2022. Nothing was ever done with it.

Not much left here now only 3 trailers and there pretty well gutted. If you were planning on making a trip out here I wouldn't bother anymore unfortunately.

Love the flowers still growing as if nothing happened.
