This cemetery is in memory of the early pioneers who lived and laid the foundations for further generations. The Church was organized in 1837 and built ten years later. The land cost $100 but the church wasn't dedicated until 1868. Services were held until 1952. The bell was also used as a fire alarm and for funeral services. It would be nice to see a park like setting here someday, on this vacant land, with benches, flowers.
