This trailer park stood for over 50 years, and in its heyday housed some 70 mobile homes. Many of the residents were elderly or disabled, and in 2008, a proposal was put forth to turn the land into high-density housing. Over the next few years, controversy arose and the owners were fined for failing to address safety issues on site, including electrical problems, inadequate snow removal, and water supply shortages. By the spring of 2014, only about 20 trailers remained, and later that year, the last tenants moved out, and the park was closed. Now, only 2 trailers remain as a monument to what once was. This once thriving community is no more, and the sad survivors remain as lone sentinels. Unfortunately, vandals have stripped the trailers of anything of value, but the detritus of human occupation remains.
