I can't find allot of info on this building but it appears to be a catholic school built in 1904. It looks like work is being done on it but I didn't see any construction workers there even on a busy week day. Looks like climbing the fence could be an option for entry but be prepared for people to see you. the fence looks like it has gaps if you can sneak along some bushes beside someones house. Lots of police in the area due to the homeless shelters nearby.

I just want to add, this is on the same block as Shep's (Shepherd of Good Hope), a homeless shelter/soup kitchen/safe injection site. I know the area well, since I have been involved with Ottawa's homeless community for around a decade. If you go here, there will be a lot of people, at all times of the day. The only times it will likely be free of people is late at night during inclement weather (-40 celsius, heavy rain, etc.) Those people will mostly be homeless people. If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe around homeless people, or people who use drugs, it might be wise to stay away from here. It would be impossible to enter the area without being noticed (people often hang out and do/deal drugs directly in front of this place), although typically people stick to their own business to avoid attracting unwanted attention to themselves (you don't want cops getting curious). However, inside the structure, you are fairly obscured from sight. That includes any passing police cars. This means you could stumble upon people doing or dealing drugs (which can provoke a hostile reaction), or someone could see you and follow you into the area to assault or mug you (not very common but it happens; it's worth noting I've never been assaulted or mugged by a homeless person in Ottawa, despite socializing primarily within this community). So unless you are prepared to deal with the heavy presence of homeless people, I would avoid this place.
