This abandoned cabin is located high up on a hilltop in the Wishart Hills of Gorham Township. The path to the cabin is a steep climb and is starting to grow in. The deck around the cabin is rotting, watch your footing. The interior is very bare, with one old chair and no other furniture inside. The loft is still safe to enter and has windows to the north and south. The place is structurally sound but starting to become mouldy at the tops of walls and floors from water damage. Mouse turds everywhere. It's too bad this place didn't have a metal roof, it would be in much better condition. The view from the front deck or windows must have been spectacular before the young poplars grew in. You can see the Sleeping Giant (50km away!) on Lake Superior from the corner of the deck and from one of the upstairs windows. There didn't seem to be any outbuildings around the property. The cabin does not appear on old topo maps but is easy to find on satellite maps. Nothing left behind gives any clue about the owner of the property.
