Established in 1865, Bastard (Lillie) Cemetery is well maintained. "Most" of the headstones have been maintained and/or repaired but there remains a pile of what can only be described as "spare parts" tucked away in a back corner. There is one military grave, that of Private Thomas Harold Haystead who "Died in War, Cause Unknown" at the age of 16 while serving with the 240th Battalion (Lanark and Renfrew).
