Welcome to the largest abandonment tour in the immediate Brechin area.

Watch your step as you cross the chain at the end of the driveway, be careful not to alert the neighbours directly across the road. The first item on our tour today is a large sailing craft, needs a little elbow grease to get her all ship shape, but a fine vessel she is.

If you kindly walk a little further down the drive, on our left you will see the remains of one of General Motors rugged work trucks, this particular one in the rare gold colour, has retired itself here on the front lawn for all to enjoy.
The first structure we come to is a large and long abandoned farmhouse, one of the largest you will ever see. The many additions over the years to accomodate the various guests have largely fallen by the wayside. As we can see, the house was in a state of renovation when last used, several years ago. If you look carefully inside and out of this impressive structure you will see many different types of recreation equipment used during the life of this home away from home.

Lets now move on to the next building, another cottage type of construction, smaller than the first, but still a bit of a fixer upper to the handyman. Through out this home you will find several modern dropped ceilings, intentional or not. The blue shutters are an eye-catching feature you cannot ignore.

As our tour continues, we see on our right, another smaller boat, a tractor, a camping trailer and finally a complete workshop that really needs a good time with a jug of Febreeze. If you care to wander onto the self-guided portion of the tour, you will be pleasantly amused by the classic barn at the rear of the property. The dust in here could tell stories your Grandmother would remember.

This concludes our tour today. I hope if you are ever in the area, please drop by and take home some memorable vacation photos of your own.

Demolished, repurposed land

I never thought that I would see more photos of my old childhood home in the mid 2000s, from what I heard after we left the township in 2008, was that there were attempts at renovating the house but even for us when my father attempted on renovating the house was that there were a lot of a problems that prevented it from being fully realized. It's sad to find out that it was torn down in early 2020 possibly but I'm glad that these photos are online and it brought back a ton of memories.
