I believe the owner, or at least one of the owners of this place was named Don Bye. This farm sits next door to another abandoned home and farm with some stables to which I believe there's a connection. This was a beautiful home back in its day; you can tell someone loved it and kids played here. It's sad to see it in this condition, but nothing is forever. When you head up the driveway, the main house is on the right, the barn is straight ahead, and the second house is on the left about 40 yards down another driveway. There's a now defunct contracting business named Bye Don Construction 1995 that had this registered as the address. The property is currently owned by former Peterborough mayor Darrel Bennett. There was a fire here in August of 2018 in the barn. See links below. Demolished between late 2018 and January 2019.
