Unknown User It's a historic location and the city would love for them to fix it up, but they don't have the funds so it'll be left there until it rots to the ground. It's sad, such a beautiful building

Unknown User My grandpas worked here for 40 years and told me about this place. I went here as a kid before it was fenced up. It belonged to the owner of the institute and he lived there with his wife and kids until he died. They emptied the house entirely before fencing it up. It's not worth going to because it's in horrible condition, fenced up, facing a busy street and near faculities.

odet27 Thanks for posting pictures! I never got around to taking some real ones. And yeah, exploring locations that are fenced up and as public as this one aren't always the best idea.

Quetzletted I used to live about a block away from the place. My sister apparently broke in about 6-7 years ago before that second floor balcony had collapsed. From what she tells me the inside is basic but still pretty interesting. The floor is some what unstable. It's not a good idea to try and get inside now though, mostly because it's on hospital grounds, private property and if any patients see you getti

ImaginePeace It's called the Middleton House. It was occupied by doctors and staff who treated tuberculosis. It's still owned by the children's psych hospital. There may be plans to restore it, as it has historical value. http://www.heritagelondonfoundation.org/Buildings20on20the20Brink20-202007.pdf
