Rumple Felt Co., Victoria St. N., Kitchener, 1867-2008
First known as Berlin Felt Boot Company, the Rumpel family purchased the company in 1875 and saw four generations operate the factory before it closed. They manufactured and exported wool and felts worldwide. The factory is currently owned by the Region but is no longer in operation.
No point of entry.
Although active is not the best way to describe Rumple Felt Co. at the moment it is active in the sense that it is now owned by the Region of Waterloo, it is being maintained and they do use it to store some things.
Also, there is a security firm that circulates once or twice a day at least. There are also spaces inside that still has live alarms.
