On the south end of Head Lake, by the beach, lies this Hall that was built beside the old Union Church built in 1888.

Union Church--The local protestants of differing denominations would choose a minister in turn. All the children shared Sunday School classes. It was used later as a dance hall and for council meetings. It is part of the Monck Colonization Rd. of the Head Lake community.

Supposedly in the 1960s this church was dismantled to be used as the new Norland Public Library. An old B and W photo showing both exists below..

Head Lake also had a Loyal Orange Lodge # 1253 which may have been run out of this building. By 1927 it only had 10 members. The Grand Master was from Kirkfield at that time.
