Entering Glanmire from the south. The fork to the right leads to Glanmire Lake and according to modern maps this is the downtown core. There are old cedar fencing remains up the hill to the right as well as on the Glanmire Lake Rd.

Yes mortality rates were high and many died far too young along the Old Hastings Rd. but look at the age on this old coot..He lived til the age of 96. I wonder what he was eating to live that long in Glanmire. Miraculous!!
