Haliburton Saw Mill

Abandoned Industrial in Lake Of Bays, Ontario, Canada

Location # 10806

After its life as a saw mill, it was used by the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) as an educational facility. There are still shelves with geological samples on display.

There are many buildings, sheds, and structures in the area to explore. Scattered here and there are random pieces of equipment.

There are also lots of hiking trails from the Frost Centre. In the winter one of the roads in to the saw mill is used as a ski trail and requires a pass to go on them. Off season hiking is no problem.

Visited last weekend, still thankfully much the same, broken trees semi block way in, some oddly bent ones there too, ice storm? Also on other side of road is an abandoned house!

Well, ground state, I've only been a member of this site for a short time, but have been exploring for a long time. It's nice to be able to share pictures of cool places.
