Demolished House in Chatsworth, Ontario, Canada

Location # 1732

An abandoned farmhouse with several outbuildings. Looks like the bricks are being salvaged on the main structure.

The flip flops I was wearing deterred me from infiltrating and getting closer to the outbuildings. Will have to return some day.

Stumbled on it while looking at the old stone train bridge.

Added by kking:3/2012:

Beautiful Brick House hidden behind the trees on a dead end road just outside of Chatsworth. All of the bricks are starting to fall off from the outside but the front of the house is intact enough to see the decorative brickwork. Easily accessible, a couple of outbuildings as well and a collapsed barn

I have been in the basement, there are a few things down there including an old tricycle, furnace, oil tank, hot water heater, some boots, and some old food like a jar of jam, freezies, and sardines.

Thanks. Yes, there was a basement...the shot of the yellow door was taken from the steps down. Chasing darkness and a long way from home, some corners got cut and for this visit it was the basement.

Great gallery doom. Its interesting how all homes of different era's all have the same or similar characteristics, until you see the exterior its sometimes hard to tell one house from another. No basement shots in any of these galleries, was there a basement?

Nice to see your photos Robert. Things have obviously deteriorated a lot between the time you were there and when I went.

Great Location BTW ~ Flippy Floppys are for boats. Just kidding - the long grass will do your toes in!
