My dad takes me here about once every few years or so, he insists that it's called McFadden Mill, and it's a great fishing spot. It's an abandoned stone mill along the river, you can walk through it and around it but it is very grown in and there are full-grown trees inside the building. There are metal-lined circular holes in the ground so be careful where you step, if you fall in one you won't get out. It looks like some teenagers have partied here but not recently, and it's quite a bit of a hike to get to. Following Highway 144 north from Lively to Chelmsford you will pass two big power lines where they have clear cut through the forest. On the left side of the highway at the second powerline, there is a gate and a trail. You can park and hike or ATV down the trail to the river. Here people often put their boats in the water and go fishing, you can either boat up the river to the mill or hike (bushwack) north (against the flow of the river) for about a kilometer or so until you come to the mill and the rapids. if anyone has any information at all my dad and I would appreciate it greatly, we have scoured the internet to no avail and he's pretty disappointed about it.
