This Chapel was one of the original Canadian Wesleyan New Connexion Methodist Churches and the cemetery is still known by this name. Another Bethel Church location is under the Hamilton section here in OAP.Weekly services stopped after 1873. I have found only two other churches[ Ellis and Paris Plains] with this two window design and all around this time frame. The farm was owned by the Prudham family and William Bousfield donated the timbers, labour and use of his mill at Tally Ho. Inside still has the original wood stove, pulpit [with hinged doors on both sides], and seats. The cemetery has around 70 graves, the earliest Jonithan Dawson 1764-1845 who emigrated to Canada in 1816 from Newcastle-on-Tyne. John Prudham bought the 200 acre property from Murray Killman in 1809 and the family still has the deed. Cemetery is still active.

mobileworks Thanks girl [punchbowl] Yes very picturesque place just really cold today to enjoy it, I had to use 4 wheel drive to plow throw the bank as there was no shoulder. and Timo- I can't seem why they wouldn't for funerals anyway, the cemetery is still in use and expanding to hold about 365 more plots.
