There appears to be a re-print of the article here: http://www.crystalkidsradio.com/blog/the-kkk-in-ontario-found-documents-tell-of-klan-activity-90-years-ago/

Not sure who here recalls the Toronto Star article, but it was written in the Jan 2014 edition.

A Ms Baumchem was cleaning out a neighbor's abandoned barn on McKee Rd just south of Cadmus (near Blackstock, ON) when a piece of paper dated 1918 caught her eye. When she read it she realized she was stepping back in time to a day when some living up here north of the border were also part of the biggest racist group of the era.

She found many other documents about the secret group with names of 60 or so confirmed members from the Oshawa area in the 1920s. Even a photo of a cross burning with hooded men was found from London, ON.

To become a member one would have to sign a card (also found in the barn) which said, "I am a White, Gentile, Protestant and will betray no confidence"

We sure have come a long way since the 1920s
