Abandoned Guyitt House (Palmyra House)

The Guyitt House

Guyitt House 2008 photo supplied by Peter Anderson

The Guyitt House history dates back to between 1840 and 1850. It was purchased in 1908 by Roy and Ethel Guyitt. The couple were married on February 23rd, 1910.

The house originally had a brick exterior but they were removed when they started falling off. The front porch was also removed. Two barns out back have since burned down.

The property is owned by a Mr. Peter Anderson who maintains the lawn. Apparently the owner has walked in on people conducting nude photo shoots and even a group trying to burn it down.
