This house is the second last of seven original houses, build to house farm workers for a nearby dairy farm. Believe it or not, this house had been lived in until only a few months before these photos were taken. There was a small fire and the fire department upon seeing the conditions in the home condemned the building. The roof leaked so badly that there were plastic table cloths on the inside taped to the ceiling to divert the water leaks. Apparently no running water and the only heat was generated but a woodstove in the basement. An older lady lived here with her daughter for many years, refusing to leave the house believing that her deceased father would not be able to find them if they moved. Truly a sad story. The mother passed away within days of being evicted from the home. Sadly all the photos that I was able to take that day and house is now demolished. Truck in the first pic is the owner of the house - they were taking the doors and windows the day I went in.
