St. George's Anglican Church was built in 1825 by the British. It replaced an earlier French Roman Catholic Church from 1690. The clock tower was installed in 1904 and still keeps the official time for the city. It strikes the Westminster chimes every hour. Hurricane Ivan in 2004 ripped the roof off and the parish is still raising money today to repair it.

I've been wanting to visit Grenada for a long time now, this didn't help to calm that drive at all.

This part of the world wouldn't even hay work?, for now? It works in Africa.Even a temp. roof would last years here. A generator some lights, is a start. They have to make other churches of the same denomination feel guilty, keep bugging them. Good find btw. Thats a heck of a drive. That's respect tho for the state of the stained glass, and surviving the storm.

That's a different look. I wonder why other Anglican churches the world over wont help. Local contractors at least should have stepped up , it's been 11 yrs.
