Time has taken it's toll on this small building from the old ghost town of Opinicon Lake.
Shingles on the ground won't be needed now. Located at 3219 Opinicon Rd.

Opinicon Lake as it was called, had started in the 1830''s as a major development project in the building of the Rideau Canal. The prroject was undertaken by Samuel Chaffy and Benjamin Tett, which was Chaffey''s Town. Here he built in over very large house and a saw mill that was followed by a distillery to service the neighbouring communities. Another man by the name of Mr. Davis also owned a mill on the east shore of Opinicon Lake. This had went by the name of Davis Mills, that was work by t

Ya man love this one..I have heard of Opinicon and think it was a ghost town mentioned in Ron Brown's books
