Old Camp near Whitfield

Ontario : Mulmur Township
Location #2765
Public

Location Owner:dankyrs
Creation Date: 5/26/2011
Last Updated: 8/9/2015

Description
Huge camp, lots of random buildings, forest trails, a pond, stage and then a LIVED IN trailer park way in behind. The camp is quite separate so its easy to explore. I don't think anyone even cares at this point. Really beautiful and interesting place to explore! I'd love to set up a trip there if anyone else is interested :D

Yes this once was Rockhill Park. The 1st Line here was once known as Rockhill Park Road. Camped here back in the 1970's, on a two-week backpacking trip along the Bruce Trail.

I believe this place was called Rockhill Park and was owned by a fella that had a store in Orangeville called Ells surplus or Honest Ells or something along that line.I believe they use to hold concerts on the band stand by the pond and if memory serves me my sister said she saw Charlie Pride there.

LOL!,just noticed this. Yes,it's the same camp, please check my pic#2 your pic#7 , office sign and round window. Also check my pic#14 and your first pic. @ bottom. Nice location with public parking across road [for a trail] . Old road was freshly mowed and the sound of distant dogs and 2 stroke engines close-by[adjacent farm?].
