An abandoned house and barn located near Delhi. This place has been abandoned for quite some time. There is a house and two barns on the property. One of the barns was destroyed by fire on the morning of August 06th, 2013. I have explored this site many times without any problems.

Just be careful when exploring here. There is broken glass, and bits of wire tangled up in the bush. Watch where you step!

Updates:

*December 1st, 2013, the barn that caught fire back in August, has now been demolished. All that remains is the foundation.

*December 19th, 2013: They are building a new structure on the site of the old barn. I am not sure what is going to be used for (possibly storage), but, clearly someone has plans for this site. The house itself has not been touched, but that could change.

*March 11th, 2014: New barn structure is complete. It will be interesting to see what happens in the summer with this property.

*June 01st, 2014: Farming season is under way and the house is still standing. The new barn towers over the existing buildings.

*August 28th, 2014: Just to clarify, the house itself is not active, but the other structures on the land sure are. This land serves as a mini processing plant for all the vegetables that are harvested from the nearby fields. Transport trucks coming and going all day long. Clearly, whoever owns this land doesn't care about the house, just the land.

*January 12th 2020: It's the end of the road for this farmhouse. It has now been demolished.

After talking to a neighbor nearby, apparently, this house used to be part of an old tobacco farm. In the barn, there is a tobacco sorting machine that is now rusting away. There once stood another house on the property that housed migrant workers. The farm ceased in the mid-90s and now a variety of crops are grown on the nearby fields, replacing the once prosperous tobacco crop!

The neighbours across the road are a bit more weary after the fire it seems.. I quote, 'they've had enough excitement from this house already'. Very nice still though, just asked what I was doing and went on his way. I think they were just happy the place wasn't up in flames again by the time I left.
