The first adult to die here was John Lenington in 1820 and a 9 yr old girl, Rachel Esther in 1817. The last it looks like Eliza Clump in 1924. It must have taken a great deal of time to get the detail in some of these headstones back in the day. Details that are slowly being lost due to poor quaility of stone and weather, probably due to cost and availability.

Been by this many times but never stopped. Cool that the first tombstone is almost 200 years old!

@Dave Summer thanks, I love the old headstones and how much detail has gone into them and the script. Some of these cemeteries are not so easy to spot and a few are really old.

Nice gallery. There is a lot of history along Lake Erie's north shore.
