As you enter Newmarket, heading east on Highway 9, the first two houses you will see are both being demolished this week. Two very old and pleasant farms, with wrecking machines currently on the property, feverishly working to reduce them to rubble.
Today the dozers destroyed the small barn, the chicken coop and two drivesheds. The house will be gone in mere days, maybe even hours.
Newmarket, Ontario - If you can grow it, we can pave it.

Very sad. I moved up to Newmarket because I treasured the old with the new and now there is no old left :(
