This house. ahhh!
This is a farmhouse. There is a shed and collapsed barn on the property and the surrounding property is actively farmed. No vandalism although there is a "keep out" sign which probably means people have been in it before... as well as the "Hi. we were here!" written on a white board inside....other than that... this place is lost in time and holding many memories.
Horse reigns, statues and pictures are everywhere. There are a few black and white pictures to be found, a lot of furniture, interesting light fixtures, and tons of artwork, toys, journals, timmies cup and your typical abandoned mess.
This house has wonderful lighting, dust, peeling paint, ... but is still in great condition for explorers.... not much mould and it's pretty sturdy.
That being said... I really don't want it ruined. I respect this house and everything in it.
It's a time capsule and I want to go back.
Update by doozer, 11/7/17. I saw this one recently on a Sunday afternoon drive with my family. I stopped today on my way home from work and took some pictures. The neighbor across the street was bringing in his garbage bins, so I asked him if it would be cool if I took some pictures. He said it was OK, and told me that someone has recently purchased the property and has plans to renovate and restore it.
I didn't get to the third floor. I was running out of time and daylight, and when I heard something rustling in the pile of garbage in one of the bedrooms, I bailed.
There is also a barn foundation with some burned timbers next to the house.
Update by ForgottenPlaces on July 8th, 2018.Location is now ACTIVE. Someone has bought the property, has cleaned it up & using it. No longer abandoned.
Update by ForgottenPlaces December 4, 2023 - Original home was demolished & a new home was built in the same spot! People reside on the property!

Oh, I forgot to add... The owners daughter lived there before the mother of the owner, she had children & these were their belongings at one point. She moved due to the extensive bills that were coming in, she just couldn't keep up. :(
I must add, I took a visit to this home & 2 weeks later my husband took a visit, things were moved/changed or taken. The nice red wooden car, that I had taken a photo of is missing from its spot, I know this specific item because my father makes them but would rarely paint it. So it was intriguing to me. I cant ask enough, at least with this property, please only take photos! Dont touch!!
Personally, after speaking to the land owner's daughter, the man was really upset when he found out people were in his home, he does still have belongings there that mean something to him. As seen in the photos, there are bills/photos/furniture/clothing/etc. that are still valuable to him. If you are to enter, please do not touch anything, and leave it as you seen it. Stairs are weary!!
The owner has also allowed his friend to store his belongings there over the past year, she was unsure who's stuff was all there. The back of the house has started caving in, making it unfixable due to funds to make it happen, it was said the heat bill was crazy in this house. Barn was salvaged of what was worth anything, then burnt the rest. The horses were also sold in the process.
I have spoken with the land owners daughter. The owner had talked about moving back in 8 or so years ago, but instead used the property for storage. Owner comes down to cut the grass 3-4 times in the summer, but doesnt visit in Winter. The attic was full when the daughter lived there, and the owner has recently within the year, been pulling boxes down to sift through.
