For those interested in the mines history I found this to read. http://www.geologyontario.mndmf.gov.on.ca/mndmfiles/afri/data/imaging/31F02SE9597/31F02SE9597.pdf

I made it to the mine on my ATV for the first time last weekend with my wife. We met two Perth men who had walked most of the way from the K&P trail. They were kind enough to lend us flashlights and let my wife and I have a good look inside. We'll bring our own next time, and visit again soon now that we know where it is.
The cordinates via Google Earth are 45? 7'25.92"N, 76?43'36.47"W.

garysbeer, those maps are correct according to locals in Clyde Forks. I've seen them on the web before too. The map showing on this page, however, is probably just showing the centre of Lanark Township. It does not show the mine.

It is near the K&P. It is west of the old railway. Take the K&P north from the end of Clyde Forks Road, then take the first Forest Access road (the first turnoff) to the west/left. You will need a GPS and good topo map if you don't know your way in that back country. A lot of the maps of the old roads back there are incorrect, or show roads that used to be active but are not now.

I would be very very interested in GPS coordinates if anybody finds them. A friend and I intend to locate this mine this summer, will report back with details if found.

Only a guess on my part, but I've attached some maps. If anyone can verify, please leave a comment

Is this cool mine near the Kick and Push Trail? Was it an iron mine?
