Callander Motel

Ontario : Callander
Location #989

Not much is known about this motel but by all appearances it has been around for decades. I would estimate it began operation sometime durnig the 1960's. By today's standards it could simply not compete with luxury hotels which I suspect was the main reason for it's closure.

The wooden cupboards are simple in design, the heaters outdated and the washroom facilities antique by today's standards.

There are approximately 12 rooms, each of which is almost identical to the one next to it. A seperate building served as an office and living quarters.

Access to the rooms is as easy as opening the door, no attempt has been made to protect the property. Please leave everything as you have found it so that everyone may enjoy this location.

The map directions are approximate, not exact.

Note: As of April 2010 this has been demolished.

Awesome pics. Reminds of the Midway Country Motel, but this hotel is in much better condition
