The very first lock of the 2nd Welland Canal. Check out the satellite photos of this area to see just how much the geography has changed. It is quite amazing to see how the town of Port Robinson completely rewrote the landscape. Lock ruins are completely accessible to public and parking is available in a municipal park across the street.

This isn't the first lock. This is the River Lock to allow access to the Welland River, leading to Lock 27 in Port Colborne. The first lock is Lock 1 in Port Dalhousie.
