An old family house just off to the east side of Horseshoe Hill Road, south of Charelston Sideroad. The kitchen of the house has collapsed and the second floor is on it(a)s way down in spots. If you enter, please be VERY careful. Easy access is gained through the S/E corner of the house.

The basement tends to be flooded most of the time. The area surrounding the house is overgrown with burrs and weeds, making the house harder to see from the road.

Upstairs there appears to be 2 bedrooms - one with pictures of catalog models pasted all over the ceiling. Not much of interest upstairs, save for some old newspapers and magazines and a dusty mattress and bedframe.

There are the remnants of an old barn out back of the building with some old radio equipment, truck parts, whisky bottles and burlap sacks etc. There are also snowmobile remnants as well as the crumbling foundation of another building.

Some of these "scouting" snapshots are taken a year apart. The house has not changed much save for the continuing rot. I plan on returning before winter hits in and documenting the place as best I can. There is no apparent vandalism, please keep it that way.

good find a little creepy with all the decay and angled floors but were able to to go upstairs , also got some pics of the basement . when we tried to enter the front of the house we could hear alot of scratching so watch out for raccoons.

That is so true about the access door!! I wonder what the story is behind that. Next time I take a trip here, I will be taking someone else with me and I hope to make it up to the second floor again......
