At one time, this was the end of Clear Lake Road, and the end of the road for an assortment of worn-out vehicles. Seems to be a pair of Pontiacs and a Ford pickup, maybe from the fifties or sixties. Located just off the road, which is closed in winter but passable most other times of the year. The area appears to be a local dumping ground of all sorts of unwanted refuse. What a shame in such a beautiful wilderness area.

Finally got to visit this location! Pardon my poor photo quality. Between an old I-Phone, improper footwear and the bugs the quality is awful! The rest of my week was rainy, so I didn't get a chance to return with better equipment. The next time I'm in the area, I'll be better equipped. This site is well worth the visit.
Nice! I'm vacationing at a cottage on Clear Lake Road in four days and my fellow car buff friends and I are always looking for an excuse for a hike! I hope we cross paths with these gems! Great find!

Very sad, the cars are gone now. You can see the trails where someone has pulled them out. There are parts laying on the ground that rusted off the cars from sitting so long so I knew I was in the right place. If the county wanted to clean up the area they would have taken all the garbage and not just the cars. Sad that someone just took them away, but hopefully they had permission and are restoring them.
