In 1865 Annan ON was Speedie ON after postmaster William Speedie. Dunedin was also proposed but was taken. Most of these residence from Annan Ontario were actually from Annan, Dumfriesshire, Scotland , so that name was accepted in 1874. Surrounded by an extinct land fill site a beautiful fence was erected. Jets pass overhead depleting our ozone layer to no ones concern here.
